My mother requested that I use my blogging skills to help out with raisin’ money for her run group. In only one week she has to raise 1,000 neopoints dollars and I though “well maybe if I got the word out to my followers then it might help?”

So basically what they’re doing is trying to raise enough money so they can join this run team for the Ragnar Relay, which is a 200-mile running event (I know I know hot diggity dog that is a big number). I don’t run myself but it’s pretty important to them.This is what the money is going to (my mom wrote this part in her email, she explains it better than I do):

The Child Abuse Prevention Center is a non-profit organization that directly serves the children and families of Orange County. With a commitment to breaking the generational cycle of child abuse, domestic violence, and teen pregnancy, last year the center intervened to help nearly 5,000 children, 3,000 parents, and 2,000 families. I am proud to support this organization, and I hope you can join me and Brian in raising money for all of the work that they do within our community.

I think it sounds like a pretty good organization and I thought maybe you guys could donate or just forward the link to your parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or even that one guy who stares at you on the bus, via email. Or just reblog this post, everything helps.

The minimum is 10 bucks which I thought was pretty stupid but I’m doin’ this pour ma mere so just rebagle and do whatever you can.
